A continuation of my exploration with abstraction of real places.

The term “Bossa Landscapes” draws inspiration from my native Brazil's musical genre bossa nova, where the term "bossa" referred to an aesthetic reformulation and a new way of doing things, based on the balance of simplicity and dissonance.




Marina Esmeraldo is a Brazilian illustrator and artist,
based between Barcelona and London. She speaks five and a half languages, loves travelling and the sea, and is currently obsessed with outdoor sketching, learning to play the bass guitar and going plastic–free.
